Where to train Krav Maga with FKMDS
The Krav Maga Defense System Federation brings together clubs across Aquitaine, Brittany, Île-de-France, Normandy, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur and Rhône-Alpes, as well as internationally with one club in Cameroon and one in Argentina. Each club is led by an instructor trained and certified by the federation.
Registration is open all year round, with no need to wait for the September term. Most clubs offer one or two free trial sessions so you can try the discipline before committing, and instructors can provide private lessons on request.
How to choose your Krav Maga club
Consistency matters most: a club close to your home or workplace, with a schedule that fits your routine, will take you further than a well-known gym you only reach occasionally. Detailed timetables are listed on each club page.
Next, look at the instructor's background and the audience the club welcomes. Within FKMDS, the 48 teachers come mostly from security and defence professions — military, gendarmes, police officers and firefighters — which shapes a realistic, directly applicable teaching approach.
What an affiliated club offers
Classes cover the fundamentals of Krav Maga: guard positions, strikes, releases from grabs and chokes, defences against weapons and ground work. Everything is taught progressively, with intensity adapted to each student's level.
Members also get access to federation training camps in natural and urban environments, grading sessions and, in some clubs, the Competitors Programme focused on Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Pancrase and Pancrase Submission.
